The Invention Of Rooms
It has been a while - after founding his great septet and dedicating his efforts as a gifted composer, bandleader and player in this demanding project - as he did ever since - Andre thought of founding and producing a combo more mobile - and came up with some great music, to be played by a quartet of choice with musicians from cologne: Claudius Valk on saxophones, Hendrik Soll on piano and fortunately myself on drums. This recording had a great impact for me. Not only did it help me being a more acknowledged jazzdrummer, an “intro” allowed me to introduce bells and a selfbuild tunable resonator, a research which kept me busy and led me to work in a more experimental field with the Pata Masters and numerous collaborations with dance. And of course Andre continued his work on “ROOMS” which has been moving on in different shapes until today with his latest release 5/5/9. I just discovered the playlist “The Invention of Rooms” on YouTube - feel free to listen and enjoy!
